Joss Whedon‘s The Avengers: Age of Ultron began filming in Aosta, Italy this past Monday and some behind the scenes pictures have gotten out, featuring shots of the new additions – Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver. Played by Elizabeth Olsen and Aaron Taylor-Johnson, the twin superheroes will bring a new, rejuvenated feel to the flick as we have yet to see what they’re fully capable of. The full movie will be in theaters on May 1, 2015. Check out Olsen and Taylor-Johnson on set below.
The characters [on screen] are going to be very different. Other than their powers, general audiences might not even know, unless they read your article, that the two are related.
The movie also returns Avengers stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson and Mark Ruffalo, whose first foray as a superhero team earned $1.5 billion worldwide at the box office. It ended its record run as the third-highest earning grossing movie of all time, behind only Avatar and Titanic.
