Seems like Keef just can’t keep himself out of the clink. Days after posting this photo on Instagram with the caption “Already”, things have already taken off. According to TMZ, Keef was “caught up in a shooting incident that put someone in the hospital ICU.
No specific reports are out as to whether Keef will be charged with any crime but according to his Lawyer ” [Keef] wasn’t the shooter, he just happened to be present when shots were fired”. Kind of a tragically humorous way to put it. Eiher way this is not a good look for the often legally troubled Keef. Interscope, and any one else who has their hand in Keef’s pockets on the other hand will probably find a way to benefit from this latest incident.
MTV reports that the shooting may have taken place at his manager’s house.
Complex reports the shooting happened at Roven “Dro” Manuel’s house, Dro is part of Keef’s management team, it is the same home where Keef has often been seen in music videos, clips and recently the final episode of Vice Noisey‘s Chiraq Documentary series.

Update (3/27): according to the Chicago Tribune
Chief Keef, whose real name is Keith Cozart, was a passenger in the vehicle that dropped off the shooting victim at NorthShore Skokie Hospital overnight, according to the rapper’s lawyer, Leah Starkman.
Her client was questioned in connection with the shooting on Wednesday at the Northfield police station, she said. Starkman didn’t know the circumstances of the shooting, but insisted the rapper wasn’t involved.
“He wasn’t even a witness,” she said. “He didn’t see anything.”
When asked how Chief Keef knew the victim, Starkman said the victim was “some sort of acquaintance.”
Authorities earlier reported that the person was recovering in the ICU at NorthShore Skokie Hospital and later said the person is in stable condition.
Keeft himself has not been reached for comment yet, he did however posting this picture with the caption “MTV” on Instagram last night at 2 am CST
