From The Project Bench To The Tonight Show
Last night Nas & Q-Tip, backed by The Legendary Roots Crew performed the classic track “One Love” on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon. The performance was about as epic as one could have hoped for, with Nas calmly delivering the poetic bars off Illmatic‘s 7th track; dedicated to loved ones locked behind bars upstate.
Nas has been making the rounds as of late to promote the upcoming release of Illmatic XX, a new release that celebrates the 20th anniversary of Illmatic; a rap album many consider to be the greatest and most influential all time. He recently performed the album in it’s entirety at Washington DC’s The Kennedy Center, last week it was announced he wold be headlining Hot 97’s Summer Jam, and this weekend made an appearance on Real Time With Bill Maher.
