That picture is crazy, right? It’s a natural element for humans to be curious about where things come from. Let’s take music as an example, specifically production. If you’re not heavy into all the info surrounding a track, you may just know it’s artist and features. Sadly, a lot of “fans” don’t pay attention to the guy in the background, the producer, who is responsible for a majority of the overall creation and direction of the song.

Still riding the wave of success from his album with Freddie Gibbs (Pinata), VICE -setup phenom-producer Madlib in a matrix-esque circle of utopic production to see what magic he can work on the spot. I mean, this setup is dope as hell. In the video, below (shot with ten of Sony‘s Music Video Recorders running simultaneously), he creates a beat from scratch using only what he has in front of him, and the results are just what you’d expect.
