Fans of Comedy Central show, Tosh.O, will be sad to know that 30 year old newly appointed production assistant, John Winkler, was reportedly gunned down by Los Angles police officers. After being mistaken for a stabbing suspect Winkler was actually running to get away from, he was shot by officers outside of his Hollywood apartment on Monday night.
Winkler reportedly visited his neighbor’s home after hearing loud shouting, only to find two of his friends being held hostage by attacker, Alexander McDonald. A fight began, in the midst of which McDonald stabbed the two captives. Police were called and Winkler along with one of the bleeding male captives ran out of the door.
Believing Winkler was the suspect due to him wearing a similar shirt, police opened fire on both men. A single shot reportedly was the cause of death.
