27-year-old Dwight Slay has been arrested in connection with the death of his 2-year-0ld daughter
The passing of a 2-year-old child has officially been ruled a homicide, Stockton authorities report, according to KCRA. 27-year-old Dwight Slay, the child’s father, and his 30-year-old girlfriend Latima Coleman has been arrested in connection to the homicide.
According to a statement on the Stockton Police Department’s Facebook profile, the two have been accused of felony child abuse, which ultimately resulted in the child’s death.
Although authorities have yet to finish interviewing both Slay and Coleman, the two will be booked into the San Joaquin County Jail once the process is complete.
The two were arrested Thursday after the child passed away Sunday at her home on East 11th Street.
The homicide is currently under investigation.
