Less than a day after announcing his first song with Warner Bros. Records, the music legend decides to unleash a sultry ballad called “The Breakdown,” on iTunes and Spotify. With the 30th anniversary of Purple Rain on the way it only makes sense that there are more surprise releases coming. For now, check out “The Breakdown” here.
“A brand-new studio album is on the way and both Warner Bros Records and Eye (sic) are quite pleased with the results of the negotiations and look forward to a fruitful working relationship,” Prince said in a statement today.
