The Dallas Mavericks travelled into San Antonio today to start their series against the Spurs for the NBA playoffs. The Mavericks dominated the game for the first 3 quarters. Mid-way through the 4th quarter the Mavericks held a ten point lead over the Spurs. The Spurs held the Mavericks to only one field goal in the last 7 minutes of the game. The Spurs went on a 15 – 4 point run in the final 7 minutes to beat the Mavericks 90-85. San Antonio OG, Tim Duncan, lead his team to securing the series lead with 27 points and 7 rebounds.

Don’t sleep on Dallas, they dominated the first 3 quarters of this game. Dallas veterans Dirk Nowitzki and Vince Carter have great play off experience, so you better believe this series is far from over. Nowitzki is one of four players of all time to average 25 points and 10 rebounds. Dirk Nowitzki thrives in the playoffs, don’t be surprised when the Mavericks come back on a mission in Game 2.
