Alongside Google and Microsoft, the heavyweights are partnering up to provide a scholarship. The tech school General Assembly has noticed and analyzed the lack of diversity within the tech field and are looking for a way to help. Nas‘s portion of the deal will go directly towards benefiting African American and Latino students, while Google will fund women’s education and Microsoft’s platform will be used to finance education for veterans.

The General Assembly CEO spoke about the new program saying “this is the start of what hopefully will be a contribution to what will be a more diverse and accessible community worldwide.” Assisting with funding, these often marginalized groups educations will hopefully be a huge success in the long run!
