Actavis, the pharmaceutical company that produces the prescription cough syrup Promethazine Codeine which is used to make the controversial ‘Sizzurp’ drink, has decided to pull the product off the market because it was being highly abused. “Actavis has made the bold and unprecedented decision to cease all production and sales of its Promethazine Codeine product,” a rep from Actavis told TMZ. The street value of a pint bottle of the Actavis drug reportedly cost around $800 before it was taken off the market.  The pharmaceutical company stated that it is the celebrity glorification of the product and the negative connotations of that usage that eventually led the company to stop all production and sales of the product. Artists like Justin Bieber, Soulja Boy and Lil Wayne all have been known to sip on sum Sizzurp, what will they do now that it is no longer available?
