The Toronto Raptors came back roaring after losing Game 1 to the visiting Brooklyn Nets. Assisted by Demar Derozan‘s 30 points and Jonas Valanciunas second consecutive playoff double-double, the Raptors were able to pull out the post-season win on their home floor. Valanciunas dropped 15 points along with landing 14 rebounds. After 2 points and 3 rebounds in the Game 1 loss, Amir Johnson stepped up, almost recording a double-double, Johnson finished with 16 points and 9 rebounds. 
Don’t put your money on the Raptors just yet. The Nets showed real promise in Game 2. Joe Johnson provided another solid performance, the Nets guard led the team in scoring with 18 points. The long time OG Kevin Garnett drained five of his six shots and finished with 13 points. If the Nets’ star player, Deron Williams, would have shot the ball better this could have been a completely different story. Making only five of his fifteen attempted field goals, the Nets star finished with only 15 points.
There has been a lot of controversy surrounding this series ever since the Raptors GM threw obscenities towards the Brooklyn team during a pep rally. Look for the action to only heat up as the series travels into Brooklyn for game 3. You can catch Game 3 on this Friday at 7 PM on ESPN 2.
