Def Jam’s promising young songstress struts her stuff
Jhene Aiko‘s new album, Souled Out, is slated to be released sometime this year, most likely late summer early fall, and we got a taste of her abilities on her November EP, Sail Out, which featured her popular singles “The Worst” and “Bed Peace”. The short player did well, debuting in the Top 10 on the Billboard 200, and when you throw in her guest slots on three major albums last year (Big Sean‘s Hall Of Fame, J. Cole‘s Born Sinner and Drake‘s Nothing Was The Same), Aiko set herself up quite nicely to have a big 2014 as she launches her own solo career on the major label scale.
Her physical stature is as beautiful as her voice, and in the latest issue of GQ Magazine, Aiko was shot several times, and thanks to the good folks over at Def Jam, we’ve been treated to the wonderful portraits.
