During Jhene Aiko‘s interview with FADER she discussed her process in working on her debut album entitled Souled Out. She mentioned that on the album she got the opportunity to work with NO I.D, Key Wane, Fisticuffs, and other artist. Although none of the artist she worked with are hip hop artist so therefore that isn’t something we should expect on the album.We also found it rather interesting that when she was asked “so how would you describe the sound you’ve put together” Aiko replied saying: “A lot of people compare it to a younger Sade with urban stories.
