Who didn’t see this coming?
Saturday was a pretty eventful night in boxing, with both Adrien Broner and Floyd Mayweather fighting pretty huge bouts, but it was Broner’s comments after he defeated Carlos Molina to claim the WBA International Welterweight title in Las Vegas.
During his post-fight interview with sportscaster Jim Gray, Broner referred to himself as the “can man”, because anybody “can get it”, and he just “beat the f*ck out of a MexiCAN”.

The WBC eventually caught wind of these comments and have suspended Adrien Broner, and demanded a public apology from the Cincinatti native.
Since words have different meanings and can be interpreted in different ways , the WBC is issuing this open letter to Adrien Broner to either clarify what he meant with his words or to issue a public apology if those words were intended to be despective and offensive.
