After 25 years the cast of A Different World reunites
Before there was College Hill and reality tv, there was one show that mattered about education, A Different World. The show was created 25 years ago and is the brainchild of Bill Cosby as a spinoff of The Cosby Show. The show survived six seasons and was based on the students of Hillman College.
Orpah reunited the cast for an episode of her show, Where Are They Now?, we get to see our favorite couple Dwayne and Whitley Gilbert (played by Kadeem Hardison & Jasmine Guy), Walter (played by Sinbad), Ron (played by Darryl M. Bell), Winifred aka Freddie (played by Cree Summer) and Jaleesa (played by Dawnn Lewis). Even executive producer Debbie Allen made an appearance. Two cast members that were noticeably missing are Lisa Bonet and Jada Pinkett Smith.
There is no word on when the episode is going to air but what I do know it’s a much needed reunion.
