An actress has finally been selected to play our beloved baby girl. Actress Zendaya Coleman has been chosen to play Aaliyah in Lifetime’s biopic set to be released later this year.
According to a Necole Bitchie exclusive, the teen actress, who made her most famous debut with Disney Channel, was selected over many talented acts. Known ladies such as Bria Murphy and Keisha Chante were allegedly in the running to snag the role, especially after Aaliyah’s uncle Barry Hankerson dropped the hint of an up and coming biopic. 106& Park host Keisha Chante was allegedly deep in the race for the role, after videos surfaced of her auditioning singing“One in a Million” as well as a distinctive Aaliyah inspired photoshoot. Young Zendaya ended victorious; the official announcement and start of filming to soon follow.
