Nyjah Huston’s latest shoe defies convention.
Yesterday Nyjah Huston– the best street league skater in the world- released his latest skate shoe yesterday, & trust me when I tell you, they’re definitely not a pair you want to overlook.
While the DC Shoes skater was busy winning gold medals the X Games & winning events at the Pro Open, he was also gearing up for the release of the Nyjah Vulc. If you couldn’t tell by the name, the street-savvy kicks have a vulcanized sole, which Huston told Complex “allows for better board feel, & it is more of a low impact skating shoe.” Here’s what Nyah told The Source:
“The technology and durability of the Nyjah Vulc is perfect for the type of high impact skating I do,” says Nyjah. “It’s comfortable, offers great protection and looks good to wear every day, which is exactly what I look for in a shoe.”
I was able to get my hands on a pair, & upon first glance of the Red pair (there are eight different colorways in total), I had wished I wore a sample size (I’m a tad jealous of people who wear a size 9). The textured suede upper near the sneaker’s heel & lining give them a cool, unique look, while the black mesh lining makes them super comfortable.
