He was initially charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle during a traffic stop near Port Authority Bus Terminal on Feb 1 heading to a party with Funkmaster Flex. He will have to pay a $500 fine in exchange for his plea to a lesser version of aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the third degree told Daily News.

Javier Solano, the rapper’s attorney, indicated that Montana had clear up the problem in February at the Department of Motor Vehicles and wasn’t aware that his license was suspended allegedly because of an insurance mix-up.

“They claimed he didn’t have insurance coverage, but with these guys, the insurance is usually handled by their manager and that was part of the mix-up,” said his defense lawyer Javier Solano.

“The bottom line is his case is resolved. He got an infraction. It’s like getting a traffic ticket,” Solano said. He continued, “It’s a misunderstanding. He’s a great guy and he’s got bigger things to be worried about than dealing with this traffic issue.”

Montana reassured that the situation will not dampen his love affair with Khole, laughing it off saying: “No, not at all. What, a suspended license?”
