Russell Simmons is a man who needs very little introduction, and I’ll leave it at that. Whatever uncle Russ says goes, right? Apparently Russell recently penned an article for GlobalGrind, its name… “Why Cash Money Is The Best Company In The History Of Hip Hop,” praising the hip-hop label.

The co-founder of Def Jam began the article with a story about seeing the Cash Money family at this year’s BET Awards. He praises Drake’s “Started From The Bottom” and makes the article a bit more current mentioning Nicki Minaj’s award acceptance speech. He writes,

“The best company in the history of hip-hop is Cash Money Records. They built it, developed and nurtured their artists while treating them fairly, held it together, and continue to make more money than everybody.”
