The speculation surrounding which actor will play the triumphant jazz legend Miles Davis was put to rest earlier in the year when Don Cheadle was announced the leading role, and now we have the picture of the actor channeling the legend. EW released the official picture of actor Don Cheadle looking freakishly like the icon and it’s without a doubt Don nailed the look. The picture displays Don Cheadle wielding a replica of the Jazz idol’s trumpet sporting the legends iconic hairstyle.

The upcoming film will be Don Cheadle’s first directorial movie and will solely be supported as a crowdfunded picture. The independent film will feature some co-stars such as Michael Stuhlbarg, Ewan McGregor and Emayatzy Corinealdi. The film will follow Miles Davis as he goes through his five year hiatus from the genre and his roller-coaster relationship with his wife Frances Taylor Davis. There is no exact date as to when we can expect the film, but once the date surfaces TheSource will be the first to give details.
