Tuesday night, Lure nightclub in Hollywood hosted the ESPN Body at the ESPY’S pre party to celebrate the sixth annual Body Issue. The “Body Issue” is a celebration and exploration of the athletic form and honors athletes of diverse shapes, sizes, genders and races with the boundaries of taste and frontiers of creativity.
“It was fun thing to and I’m glad I did it,” Oklahoma City Thunder forward Serge Ibaka said about his appearance in this year’s edition.
Ibaka is one of about 20 athletes highlighted in this year’s edition and has received a very positive response for his appearance in the issue.
Ibaka’s girlfriend Keri Hilson added “Serge is a great athlete, great man and has a great body and I expected the positive response since I see it every day.”
This year’s ESPY’s will be hosted by Drake who will be joined on stage by the world’s premier athletes when some of Hollywood’s biggest stars come to Los Angeles. The 22nd annual celebration of the best moments from the year in sports will be televised LIVE from the Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE on Wednesday, July 16, at 9 p.m. ET on ESPN.
