All-Star games usually don’t have a lot of defense so the players have a chance to show off their skills and tricks.  Unfortunately this attempt didn’t go as planned.

During the fourth quarter of the 2014 WNBA All-Star Game at U.S. Airways Center in Phoenix, Arizona, the East tried to get fancy on a three-on-one fast break, but Atlanta Dream teammates Shoni Schimmel and Angel McCoughtry couldn’t convert the off-the-backboard attempt.

The video went viral and did not help peoples perception of the WNBA :(

On the POSITIVE side: The East won 125-124 in overtime, and rookie point guard Shoni Schimmel, who threw the pass, won MVP honors after posting a game-high 29 points and eight assists.
