CBS‘s ‘The Big Bang Theory’ has been televisions number one show ratings wise for the past three years.  The show- which centers around a group of genius scientists friends (mainly Jim Parsons as Sheldon , and Johnny Galecki as Leonard) and their everyday interactions with their less than genius neighbor Penny, played by Kaley Cuoco – is entering it’s 8th season. But recently the show has hit a major road block due to contract negotiations.

Knowing the power they wield the main stars have decided to be unified in their negotiations  in an attempt to get their contracts re-done and made much more lucrative.  Reports are that the three main stars – Parsons, Galecki & Cuoco are demanding $1 million per episode; a figure that experts feel is reasonable considering the overwhelming popularity and success of the show.  Although they are unified in their pursuits they are actually negotiating separately via their agents, with Parson’s, easily the show’s biggest star and also the recipient of countless awards, apparently demanding the most as far as compensation.

When it’s all said most seem to think that much like when the cast of Friends began to do the same thing in 1996, the BBT group will end up mostly successful in their pursuit.  In the meantime important production days have already begun to cancel, and considering the looimng season premiere date of September 22nd, it is possible they may be forced  cut a full episode.

Were just hoping the number of “Bazinga’s” Parson’s Sheldon character utters is not effected.
