As many of you know, Mike Vick went through his share of controversy a couple years back with his involvement in dog fighting which tarnished most of his career and off-field appeal, but Mike Vick recently came out and delivered some moving words for Ray Rice who is going through his own turmoil.

Mike Vick recently stated:

“I think the most important thing that you can do is to try to make amends for what you’ve done. “I think you have to show people that you’re trying to help yourself and bring awareness to that situation to help others, to prevent it. You’ve got to become an advocate.”

He then went on to say:

“You’ve got to continue to make amends,” Vick said. “Once you start something, you can never go back. I feel like I’ve become an advocate of animal welfare, and I think I have to continue that. It’s all about keeping kids 15 years from now from doing the same. We’ve saved a lot of kids, and we’ve saved a lot of animals. That’s how I feel. Ray will make it right.”

Ray Rice, who is currently undergoing an intense amount of backlash for his actions would be a fool not to take this advice from a player who has had a bit of problems in the public eye.It will be interesting to see how Ray Rice handles this situation and if he puts his best foot forward and takes the advice.
