Yesterday, Revolt TV announced that they will broadcast the 3rd Annual Global Spin Awards on Tuesday, November 18 in New York City.
Created in 2012 by Shawn Prez, an executive of Bad Boy Records, the Global Spin Awards recognizes talented DJ’s. Classified as the quality standard of DJ recognition, the meshing of the awards show and Revolt TV seems like no-brainer.
“I couldn’t be happier to have one of the biggest names in music television, Revolt TV, be the exclusive broadcast partner of the 3rd Annual Global Spin Awards,” said Shawn Prez in a released statement.
Last year, GSA awarded DJ Kid Capri with a Lifetime Achievement Award, followed by DJ Marley Marl getting the nod with the Legendary DJ Award. Swizz Beats garnered honors as the Celebrity DJ of the Year, and New York City’s Funkmaster Flex from Hot 97 was awarded with the National Mix Show DJ of the Year award. Additionally New York City’s Power 105’s DJ Envy was given the DJ of the Year award.

The Global Spin Awards show will go down in November at New World Stages – Off Broadway in midtown Manhattan and will broadcast on the television network the following week.
