Just let her be fancy

One of the major things T.I. did once he was released from prison for the last time was saddle up two artists whom he thought were really ready to make a big impact in the industry.  One of them was G.O.O.D. Music affiliate Travis Scott.  The other? Iggy Azalea.  She isn’t your typical rapper–most rappers aren’t tall, gorgeous, from Australia, dating an NBA player and releasing record-setting #1 singles by the time they’re 24–but T.I. stands behind her 100% as one would expect.  Recently, he opened up about some of the criticisms she’s received in light of Nicki Minaj’s BET Awards comments, and the many discussions that have been opened up by her chart-topping “Fancy” single.

That pisses me off. Simply because they don’t have any real substantial grounds. ‘I don’t like them.’ Why? ‘Just ‘cause.’ What you mean just ‘cause? Since when do you get the right to judge people? Who died and made you the emperor of Egypt? That kind of shit and then the things that they accuse her of, like the racist stuff. That’s not even her. That’s not even in her. Me knowing her, knowing where she comes from—for real, the whole racist thing, that’s American—we forget, she’s not American. So the whole Black, white, color divided thing, it isn’t a part of her DNA like it is here in America.

That was rant Tip, but rap Tip will make his official return to the shelves on October 21st when he releases his 9th album, Paperwork, featuring executive production from Pharrell and Timbaland.
