It’s not even Tuesday
A couple weeks back, one of the biggest indie records in Atlanta, “Tuesday”, by iLOVEMAKONNEN–whose popularity is quickly growing not just in Atlanta, but nationwide, after his work with some of the biggest Southern producers of the day (Mike Will Made It, Metro Boomin, Sonny Digital)–was remixed by none other than Drizzy Drake, who mimicked Makonnen’s high-pitched sing songy flow and added his OVO spin to the record, as he’s done with so many other artists. Â This time, he brought out the ink pen. Â As of yesterday, iLOVEMAKONNEN was officially signed to Drake’s Warner Bros. label imprint, OVO Sound, and Tuesday (feat. Drake) is now available for purchase on iTunes. Â This marks the second rapper Drake has signed to the label (OB O’Brien), and definitely the first ATLien. Â Excited for what’s to come.
