The title of this Spring/Summer 2015 collection is Dream. “Just as the title reveals, we strive to give people hope through this season’s collection, reminding people the power of dreams.” Songs like “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy,” “Candy Man,” “Diamonds are a girl’s best friend” and “Fever” were all used along with the messy side ponytail. This time period showed us a new door to the “American Dream” for women, and the outfits reflected a modern twist on 1940s inspired wear. The beautiful floral prints, the style of the sleeves, shirt dresses, wide pants, and jackets were all very light and feminine and evocative of the 1940s swing style. The presentation was held at Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater.
