another NFL star accused of heinous crime; child abuse charges pending in Texas
According to TMZ.com, Minnesota Vikings star Adrian Peterson has just been indicted by Montgomery County, TX authorities for reckless or negligent injury to a child.
It is alleged that the victim, an 11 year old male child, was visiting Peterson’s home in Texas back in May. When the boy returned home, his mother, who resides in Minnesota, noticed injuries and took the child to a doctor who in turn reported the Vikings star to authorities in Texas.
Child Protective Services in Texas have confirmed that they are working on a case involving Adrian Peterson and an 11 year old boy.
Peterson missed practice yesterday, however, he was in attendance today and was seen in a jovial mood according team members.
The NFL has been getting its share of bad press because of its players, with the Baltimore Ravens’ Ray Rice being banned indefinitely from the league for abusing his wife Janay,cwhich was caught on videotape.
