50 is petty, but not that petty
Tonight is the long-awaited rematch between Floyd Mayweather and Marcos Maidana–most wish it was the first ever Mayweather/Pacquiao bout–part 1 of which was won by Money Mayweather back in May. Of course, this comes at a pretty hectic time for Mayweather, as he’s found his name in headlines several times over the past month for things that have nothing to do with boxing. His ex-girlfriend is suing him on battery charges, 50 Cent and Charlamagne The God have clowned him repeatedly on social media and a host of other current affairs involving the world’s highest paid athlete could serve as distractions, but Maidana will need a lot more than luck to have a chance tonight.
That being said, a report was released earlier today alleging that 50 Cent, a former friend of Mayweather’s who has been at odds with the boxer for the past few months, would be walking Mayweather’s opponent, Marcos Maidana to the ring tonight in Vegas, a move that would pretty much declare war on Floyd on 50’s part. However, that report was fake, and NAHA (Negroes Against Hairline Abuse) is admittedly a satirical website.
You have to admit though, should the report have been real, tonight would’ve been one for the ages.
