For true 50 Cent fans, they’re well aware of the role his grandmother, Beulah Jackson, played in the rapper’s life. She was the guardian who cared for Fif following the tragic death of his mother and overall the person who cared about him most. She was very dear to his heart and he has expressed this on several different occasions. Fif’s grandmother even made an appearance in his interview with Oprah Winfrey where the Queens rapper revealed that his grandmother was so special to him, he was willing to give her foot massages and polish her toenails. The news of her passing was revealed to the world when Fif’s cousin posted a pic of himself and Beulah with the caption that read: “Will never forget you momma, I miss you already R.I.P my momma.” Fif sat down with Vibe in which he discussed how he heard the news and the moments the two shared before her death.

I had to go to “Power” to rehearse the action sequences and I was on the treadmill, working with the stunt coordinators, when my aunt called me and told me I needed to come to the hospital. I had the chance to talk to her a little bit before she passed. My grandmama was coherent the whole time. I’ve seen a lot of people die around me but I saw them die on the corner that we were standing on. Outside is a different danger. It’s like you go to the hospital, [my grandma’s] up, she’s there, she’s alert. She responded to my voice and then after I see her, her blood pressure starts to drop and then she’s gone.

We’re sending 50 and his family our deepest condolences.
