Now that Dr. Dre has found his corner office in Cupertino and made more money in one year than the rest of Forbes‘ Hip-Hop Cash King members combined, it’s safe to say we can quit the Detox coveting. It isn’t happening, and we can rest our laurels on the fact that in the form of new Kendrick Lamar and Eminem releases, we’ll still be able to experience Dr. Dre music in the foreseeable future.

Andre 3000‘s solo album is the new album that everybody is feverishly anticipating, despite the absence of tangible signs of its existence or conception. He’s been talking about it in bits and pieces of interviews and backstage off-the-record conversations since 2011, and recently, in a conversation with The Source and Hip-Hop Wired, Andre reiterated that his solo album is definitely happening. When? We’re not so sure, but with the Hendrix movie out of the way, and the Outkast tour coming to a close on Halloween, 3 Stacks will have a lot more time on his hands. He spoke to Life + Times on what he intends to do with said time.

We’re both working on solo albums. Big Boi is damn near through with his next album. I think after we finish this last show on October 31st in New Orleans. I’d love to get in the studio and see if I can conjure up something.

By “we’re both” he’s referring to Big Boi. “I’d love to get in the studio and see if I can conjure up something” after 10/31? So we now we have an admission of the will to record and a possible start time?

Look at us. The man did a whole interview on the Hendrix movie and all we care about is him saying he might could possibly maybe potentially think about going to see what he can do in the studio in November.

We have no shame.

Khari will report on Andre 3000 saying he might could possibly maybe potentially think about making an album until it kills him because of his verse on “Int’l Player’s Anthem”. Follow him on Twitter.
