No, but what a sight that would’ve been
After pictures much like the above flick began filtering through social networks over the past couple weeks, rumors began circulating that Brad Pitt may be playing Bob Marley in an upcoming biopic. However, that is not the case. Pitt took these photos as part of a photo shoot a couple years ago in which he underwent makeovers to look like several celebrities in tribute, including James Dean, when he posed for Interview Magazine a few years ago. While the photos are certainly at least a couple years old, for some reason, recently the internet has been up in arms–mainly due to critics who believe it’s an outlandish idea to have Pitt play Marley, widely regarded as one of the greatest musicians of all time, who was also a Jamaican man with a significant accent.
Pitt is a darn good actor, we know this. But could he pull off the look and the Jamrock dialect? We’ll never know.
