“23 Blast” is the depiction of the incredible story of Travis Freeman, who continued playing football even after losing his eyesight.

The story follows Travis in his junior year of high school prior to the loss of his ability to see. He was the football star of his school and a devastating heavy eye infection leaves him and his family crushed. Just when Travis is coming to terms with his condition and giving up his dream of playing his beloved sport again, he is presented with an opportunity: The chance to continue immersing himself with his beloved sport. He overcomes many challenges and obstacles on his journey. The film is heavy at times when showing the personal struggles of Travis and his family, but is balanced out with bits of humorous scenes that will leave the audience chuckling. This inspiring story carries such an empowering message to teach the audience to defy the odds and say “Yes I can.”

Director/Actor Dylan Baker, Stephen Lang, Bram Hoover (co-star and co-writer), Kim Zimmer and the man who inspired the story, Travis Freeman all attended a special screening at Regal Cinemas E-Walk Theater this week.
