Legendary producer Pete Rock celebrates the 20th anniversary of Nas’ Illmatic LP as well as the recent release of Tribeca Film’s Nas: Time Is Illmatic documentary with his own personal mix. The tribute includes all 10 tracks from the album as well as appearances from Large Professor, DJ Premier, Q-Tip and L.E.S. Commenting on Nas’ Time Is Illmatic Pete Rock said:
“I was motivated to produce this mixtape because ‘Time Is Illmatic’ is a part of hip hop history that everyone should know about; and have in both their music and now film collection.”
