A Florida man is behind bars after he called 911 to ask the dispatcher for a date.
The Florida Sun Sentinel reports that Stephen Ramsey of Naples, Florida, was arrested Tuesday, after allegedly calling 911 three separate times and asking the dispatcher on a date. She declined, but that didn’t stop Ramsey from keeping her on the phone for six minutes and asking if she was “into handcuffs,” before laughing and hanging up.
A deputy was dispatched to Ramsey’s home, where he justified his gross misuse of 911 by saying he was “looking for a date or escort service to help him pass the time.”
The deputy noted that Ramsey was slurring his speech and smelled strongly of alcohol. He was booked in the Collier County Jail on charges of misusing 911.
