Back in the day when Hip-Hop wasn’t the golden calf that music industries see it as today, DJs used to put together projects that featured all of the most talented up and coming, as well as established, emcees out just because. Call it a contribution to culture or capturing the spirit of the times. Just don’t deny the talent. There are a select few who continue to do that, including DJ JS-1. The producer and DJ has assembled an impressive line up of straight tough talkers on his new album, It Is What It Isn’t. We’re proud to premiere the latest single that features Ill Bill and Slaine. The throwback feel from the synth production sets the tone for the emcees to bash some skulls like they used to do back in the day and share stories from their youth.
