Mo’ne Davis, the 13-year-old Philly native that is now the face of Little League baseball has yet another ‘W’ to add to her win column.  Besides being the first girl ever to win a Little League World series game with her team the “Taney Dragons” to even starring in a Spike Lee directed commercial, she can now add Sports Illustrated “Cover Kid” to her list of accolades.

Sports Illustrated has officially announced that Mo’ne Davis will be the 2014 “Sports Kid of the Year” which comes with no surprise seeing that she took the sports world by storm. After  leading her team to the Little League World series while being the first girl in Little League history to pitch a shutout in Little League history, this nod only seems fitting.
