Smith joins an all-star cast in big super-villain remake
Earlier today the cast of Warner Bros. Suicide Squad remake was revealed, and among them? Will Smith. Smith will be joined by recent Academy Award winner Jared Leto, Tom Hardy, Jai Courtney and several other stars in the new film, which is set to be released in 2016.
Smith had been rumored to be a part of the star-studded film, but the announcement wasn’t made until the deals and contracts were finalized, confirmation of which came earlier today.
The plots of re-makes rarely stick to their original versions verbatim, but the spine of the original Suicide Squad is a group of villains that get a last chance of redemption from the government. Downside to that is, the mission is generally a suicide one, hence the title.
The Fresh Prince will play Deadshot, the cartoon version of whom is pictured below.
