Earlier this week Lil Wayne left off a string of tweets that sent shocking waves through the entire music industry. We knew from Tyga‘s allegations from a couple months ago that all was not perfect in the Young Money Cash Money camp, but no one knew just how deep it was until Wayne took to social media. He wants nothing to do with “these people,” referring to his label, Cash Money, and Hip-Hop’s favorite bromance father/son relationship appeared to have holes in it for the first time.

Last night, at Vice‘s 20th anniversary celebration, Lil Wayne took to the stage for a performance, and shortly after, gave the crowd a quick update on what everyone has been clamoring to find more information about.

I’m fucked up in a bad situation, but I will be out of it soon, and I do it for y’all. So put them motherfuckin’ fives up for Carter V.

By “out of it soon,” does Wayne mean things will improve at Cash Money, or that he will be leaving Cash Money? No one knows what the future holds, but the immediate one doesn’t appear to include Tha Carter V. Wayne already admitted that the album’s 2nd official release date, December 9th, will come and go without a Lil Wayne album. We may be looking towards 2015.
