The Nets and Cavaliers are currently in the 2nd quarter of their contest at The Barclays Center, but prior to the game, several players, including the league’s biggest, made statements. Kyrie Irving, Kevin Garnett, Deron Williams, LeBron James and more hit the pre-game floor in “I Can’t Breathe” t-shirts in acknowledgement of the city’s failure to charge the police officer who killed a Staten Island parent, Eric Garner, with a chokehold.

Tonight wasn’t the first night we’ve seen athletes on the pre-game court or field making statements. It began with Derrick Rose over the weekend and continued with several NFL players, including Reggie Bush and Johnson Bademosi.
