A teenage student, Seth Ramsey, is being held in a juvenile detention center after he was arrested on first-degree murder charges following authorities’ discovery of his father’s body in his bedroom.
According to an ABC report, after Seth’s father, Todd Ramsey, was a no-show at work multiple times, his co-workers called the police, who went straight to his home and encountered his son, Seth. Seth reportedly admitted to authorities that he may have had a hand in his father’s death, leading to the search of his home.
After Ramsey was taken into custody, he was questioned by the police, and gave his account of what happened. Ramsey was allegedly in his room–not in school where he was supposed to be–and he knew his father, Todd, was going to be incensed by the fact that he was still in bed. According to the affadavit:
He said that his father was in his bedroom from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Seth said that he knew when his father came out he would be mad so he shot him.
