(Video) 12-Year Old Boys Repeatedly Punched During Arrest, Caught On Video

And it continues

Footage of an arrest by NYPD officers both easily identifiable and in plainclothes, has surfaced thanks to a woman named Sarah Doneghy, who uploaded the footage to YouTube on Wednesday. Ms. Doneghy attached the following description to the clip, alleging that the boys had done nothing wrong.

This happened today on my way to the post office. The kids were 12. They had supposedly pushed one of their classmates down. However when the victim was asked, he said those weren’t the guys. They were still taken away. 12. Years. Old. Sarah Doneghy

There isn’t much information about what’s happening in the video, including exactly when it happened, but the New York Daily News is reporting that Internal Affairs is investigating the incident. The video is over 8 minutes long, and most of it consists of passersby screaming at the police officers that the kids did nothing wrong, and also a considerable amount of screaming from either the kids or more bystanders, outraged at what’s going on. However, in the first few seconds of the video, the uniformed police officers are holding down one of the boys when a plainly clothed police officer can be clearly seen as he rushes in, and punches the boy as he’s held down, prompting screaming and shouting from nearby witnesses.

UPDATE: The plainclothes officer has been suspended from duty, and Internal Affairs’ investigation is ongoing.
