Angelina Jolie’s film adaptation of  Laura Hillenbrand’s “Unbroken” hits theaters this Christmas Day.

Universal Pictures’ “Unbroken” tells the true story of Louis Zamperini, an American Olympic track star and WWII pilot who was held captive in a Japanese internment camp for two years after his plane crashed. The film depicts Zamperini’s perseverance and courage as he endures beings tortured, starved and beaten and returns home a hero. Directed and produced by Angelina Jolie, “Unbroken” depicts Zamperini’s stuggle for survival when he and two crewmen are stranded for 47 days on a raft after their plane crash, only to be captured by the Japanese navy. The film stars Jack O’Connell, Domhnall Gleeson, Garrett Hedlund and Finn Wittrock and Japanese actor Miyavi who makes his English-language debut.
