“I like the way you do that right thurr…”
Its been years since we’ve done the chicken head to Chingy‘s “Right Thurr”, but since yesterday, families, friends, co-workers and professional dancers alike took to their cell phones to create 15-second dance off videos to the #TBT hit during their holiday activities thanks to the Dance King, Chris Brown.
Just strolling through the #ChristmasChallenge hashtag, and you’ll discover people of all backgrounds showing off their moves (or lack thereof) to the 2003 throwback dance jam from St. Louis’ very own, Chingy. Clearly, many of Breezy’s younger fans weren’t aware of this song, with the constant comments asking, “name of song?”. Gotta love the 90s babies.
From Chris’ page, you will find that even celebrities such as Lala Anthony and her children, Justin Bieber and Adrien Broner joined in the fun as well, offering little competition however to the choreographed and costumed efforts of those Breezy re-shared on his feed, especially that of Diddy‘s son, Justin and his friends while donning fur coats in front of the Christmas tree.
For those of us old enough to know, it was hilarious not only listening to “Right Thurr” after a decade, but heartwarming to see people come together and share the joy of dance and movement after the holiday.
