Since the start of the December, Lil Wayne has been at the top of news headlines over his fallout with Cash Money Records CEO Bryan ‘Birdman’ Williams. Wayne took to his Twitter account to voice his frustrations, letting fans know that the label is not allowing him to release his highly anticipated The Carter V album and saying he is being held “hostage”. The Young Money boss even went as far as saying that he will be off of the label very soon.

This of course threw fans for a loop considering that Lil Wayne and Cash Money have become synonymous since they rose to stardom during the 1990s. Birdman has been remained mum on the subject, but there have been rumblings behind the scenes that he has no intentions of letting Birdman Jr out of his contract. Things don’t look like they are getting any better as today TMZ is reporting that Lil Wayne is mulling over the idea of filing a formal lawsuit, forcing the label to release his album. With each passing day, it appears that the situation is heading past the point of no return.
