Boxing may have been the appetizer, but the stars in attendance were the main course.
You name em and they were there: Jay-Z, Carmelo Anthony, CC Sabathia, Fabolous, Rosie Perez, Spike Lee, DJ Envy, Rihanna, DJ Mustard, Angie Martinez and more were in the number last night at the Madison Square Garden Theater to watch the main event between Dusty Hernandez-Harrison of Washington, D.C. and Tommy Rainone, a local favorite out of Plainview, Long Island.
More than 4,000 were in attendance as Hernandez-Harrison played spoiler to the hometown boy Rainone with a unanimous decision. Hernandez claimed the WBC Continental Americas welterweight championship and remained undefeated with a record of 25-0.
“Tommy knows how to make it through when it gets tough,” said Hernandez-Harrison. “I really wanted to knock him out, but I think I worked too hard at it.”
