The French government refuses to stand by idle while Islamic terrorists take innocent lives.
Sunday, January 12, 2014 saw millions of French residents unified for peace in France’s streets after a horrifying militant Islamist killing spree in Paris left 17 people dead.
The French response has not stopped at a mere rally, however. Refusing to desist or show fear, the French government has deployed 10,000 army troops to secure over 700 Jewish schools, synagogues and public places such as airports, railway stations and various tourist spots.
According to French Prime Minister Manuel Valls, militarization is only the first step of a much larger strategy to secure the territory. He explained to the television network, BFM, that legislation is being discussed to increase government intelligence and fund tighter security as well.
