An argument with a promoter ironically turned a bit violent

TMZ has obtained backstage footage of a confrontation between August Alsina and concert promoter Loose Cannon Slim–of course that’s his name–that turned into an all-out brawl. Ironically, the footage was captured backstage at Saturday’s State Of Emergency 2 concert in St. Louis, which was held in order to promote anti-violent causes, and proceeds from the event went to an local anti-violence program, Put Down The Pistol.

The video, which you can watch above, show a brief standoff between Slim, backed by his colleagues, and Alsina and his camp. Cuss words flew back and forth, and within seconds, punches were thrown. The video then quickly cuts to a more volatile moment of the confrontation in which Alsina rushes into the brawl after several members from both sides were already exchanging punches and kicks.

Fabolous, who also perfomed at the SOE2 concert, can be seen at the end of the video looking on.

August Alsina had an incredible 2014, in which he released his debut album, Testimony, and went from a little known upstart to a full-blown R&B star, with Hot 100 and R&B/Hip-Hop Top 40 hits, and high profile collaborations with Nicki Minaj, Chris Brown, Jeezy and more.
