Westbrook didn’t pull, well, a “Westbrook” this time around

Friday night, after the Oklahoma City Thunder handled the Golden State Warriors at home–including an impressive triple-double performance from Russell Westbrook–the fiery point guard gave quite possibly his most memorable post-game interview ever. If you haven’t seen it yet, check it out, or you won’t understand what’s so funny about the following.

One thing of note from Westbrook’s comedic conversation with those poor reporters: he wasn’t kidding about the execution part of it. Since that chat, the Thunder have won their last two games–both on the road–and after last night’s victory over the Heat they sit above the .500 mark for the first time all season.

That being said, it’s only right that TNT and NBA TV announcer Ernie Johnson Jr.–who has won two Emmy Awards for a reason–decided to flat out ask Russell Westbrook (19 pt, 10 rb, 6 ast) about the Thunder’s “execution” against the Heat. Westbrook couldn’t help but crack up.

Good one, EJ.
